The entry list for the Azores race was published today and Phoenix Racing got a placeholder spot on the list, thanks to a DCQ (or wildcard) entry. In simple terms, this just means that the ball is my court now. All I have to do is complete the qualification requirements (800 more miles in races and a 1,000 mile qualification course) and I get a place in the race. This is great news for the Phoenix Racing campaign and allows me to focus my energies on getting the rest of my qualifications for the Azores Race, which is an important milestone on the way to ultimately competing in the 2009 Mini Transat Race.
